What is the Goal of the BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund?
The BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund’s goal will be to promote and fund projects that enhance freshwater fishing opportunities and education in communities throughout BC.
How will the program be funded?
The BCFROA will organize fundraising events and coordinate corporate partnerships to raise money for the fund. Contributions from sponsors could be in the form of money or merchandise that could be auctioned off or donated to a fishing related cause.
2015 Fishing Enhancement Fund Recipients
Merritt Secondary Outdoor Education Class. Each student received a rod and reel package from the BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund.
Westsyde Secondary Outdoor Education Fly Fishing Class. Each student received a rod and reel package from the BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund.
2014 Fishing Enhancement Fund Recipients
Full Credit Outdoor Education Fly Fishing Class at Westsyde Secondary School in Kamloops, BC. Each student received a rod and reel package from the BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund.
2013 Fishing Enhancement Fund Recipients
The Inaugural BC Youth Fly Fishing Championships. This event took place in the Maple Ridge on October 5 & 6, 2013. Each participant had their entrance fee paid for by the BCFROA Fishing Enhancement Fund.
